The Wilcox Curriculum Resource Center (CRC) is
an extension of Maag Library located on the main floor of the Beeghly
College of Education. The CRC is dedicated to providing means of
access to information, equipment, texts, and software to support
the curriculum of YSU's Beeghly College of Education at both the
undergraduate and graduate levels.
The CRC exists primarily to serve the instructional
needs of the College of Education's faculty, the beginning-level
research of the college's newly-enrolled education students, and
the preparation and application of classroom teaching materials
of its student teaching and post-graduate level students in all
of the college's departments.
The Wilcox CRC is also a facility where the current
methods in instruction, educational technology, and distance learning
can be demonstrated and applied. As such, it is also a point of
access for the YSU campus-at-large and the schools in the community
where the College of Education's faculty and students work off-campus.
It is a facility where educational reflection in action can occur.
Although the Wilcox CRC responds to this wide level
of service and patron demand, its policy is not to duplicate the
resources and existing services provided by Maag library, the YSU
media center, or computer services. The CRC strives to build on
and supplement these organizations' assets by providing specialized
resources dedicated to the Beeghly College of Education's goals
and mission.
